I also bought a pair of rams from yunite last fall off of aquabid. They bred wthin the first week. Not only very good quality but they have very good service. I asked alot of breeding questions and they always replied promptly with great advice.
Great pic abrooks. I did the same as you and mixed it in one of my tanks recently and is doing well but I was thinking of using it alone in another tank. In your opinion, will this work or just become a big mess?
Thanks for the advice guys. Ill have to do some re - arranging. These fish are so amazing and addictive .Im getting to the point that even I think I may have too many tanks. I dont think my wife will put up with me much longer.
I know a 10gallon is quite small for a trio.If the male was removed after spawning would the two females be Ok together? The two females are sisters, same size and were added at the same time so at least right now neither is dominate.the tank is moderately planted with caves and wood.
I am using a 10 gallon for one pair and a 29 gallon for possible trio. I have 4 non related females but I have many amazing males from a pair I just sold. So I would love to rotate the males to see which pairs produce the nicest fry. I have a 55 gal I plan to keep two or three males in while...

As I undetstand it, my ph out of the tap is 7.4, but because of my substrate fluval stratum and because I have soft water, the ph will drop fast on it own. I do 5 gallon water change twice a week on my 29 gallon tank. Ive been using rainwater or discuss buffer to lower the ph when doing the...
I've started mixing rainwater with my tap water to achieve a lower ph for my triple red tank. Should I be adding any mineral supliments? My water out of the tap is already very soft.
Its a planted tank,so good there. What snails are good to use? Nurite snails aways die on me and I had mystery snails eat blue ram fry. Would amano shrimp work or would they be predatory?
I have a pair of triple reds and around 40 two week old fry in a 29gallon tank. I have been doing 5 gallon water changes twice a week, using prime and discuss buffer. The fry appear healthy but should I be doing water changes more often?
