The cacatuoide in the picture is a appx 7 month male. The bottom part of the tail has very little color. This fish was in a tank with 50 other apisto.

My 20 gallon tank has medium to large sized gravel. I wouldnt breed angelfish in there (for fear of wrigglers being sucked into the gravel).
Should this be a concern with rams and apistos?
I have heard apistos/rams use caves/flower pots. Will they make sure the fry dont fall on the gravel...
