I bought live shrimp, as I said, the eggs are relatively hard to come by here. I heard there are some for sale at a place outside bangkok so I'll go check it out.
Hey mike, I need some help. Apart from baby brine shrimp, are there any other food that I can feed the fry when they hatch? I don't think I can find them here in thailand.
Thanks!
I'm in Bangkok, I will go to the fish place again to see if they have any, usually they only sell them in bags and I didn't have a good experience with them (made my fish catch disease)
My first batch of eggs ever! Although I'm super excited, I do have 3 females in the tank along with 1 male (the tank is a 20 gallon as pictured). Since I am a total noob, I need some advice
I would like the fry's to survive, doesn't have to be super breeding effective, but I'd like to keep at...
I feed Hikari Frozen blood worm to my apisto s everyday since they literally won't eat any other food I've offered them. I am relatively new to this hobby but will this pose a problem to them in the future? Live food is relatively hard to come by where I live, I can at most muster some brine...
Hey guys, I need your opinion on this, I recently got some trifasciatas that the seller swore were females. Needless to say I'm not convinced. Can you guys help me out?
Fsecond and third pic are the same specimen
Darrel: hopefully the couple that I have wouldn't eat them,, I kinda want to keep shrimps with them so they keep the tank clean.
Mike: of the 20 individuals, 1 survived, and I can imagine he's going to have Vietnam flashbacks for the rest of his life. I use this particular brand a lot and...
Well its been an eventful day to say the least. I finally finished cycling my 20g tank for the A. trifas about 2 days ago and dropped in some cherry shrimps and 2 pearl gouramis (fodder since I live in thailand, they literally infest my backyard). They were happily living in the tank and the...
Apistomaster: breeding doesn't really matter much to me, although I'd like to see them breed just to see it, I don't really have enough room to raise the fry so it doesn't matter if they don't survive. My fish doesn't seem much interested though.
I see, but I just really hate them snails, most of them actually came with the multitude of plants I have on the tank
I will definitly see about the shrimps thanks!
Hey guys, I recently got some a. Trifasciata in a 20 gallon (up from the old 6 which mike said was way too small). Now I'm looking for some tank mates but I also kind of want the fish to not feel too crowded. I am thinking of getting some cherry shrimps and assassin snail since they will also do...
Another person from thailand! its a pleasure. I will definitly check out the competition event! but I doubt this year would be the year I participate. I'd like to get a line going first (used to breed bettas).
thankyou mike, I will definitly see what I can do about the tank, I did realize it...
Hey guys, taj here from thailand,
I recently moved here from the US and after sometime, setup a new tank. The tank is super small compared to what I used to have back in the states (150 and a 75) so I decided to find a nice fish suitable for a small tropical tank.
Anyways, I ended up with a...
