    Apisto Blindness cause

I've had various fish over the years with an eye missing, never seemed to be much of an issue.

    Hello Everyone..

I, too, just found this site. It seems as if we've followed a similar path fish-wise. I've recently acquired some apistos-Borelli, Hongsloi and agassizii-and am hoping to get some breeding going. I also keep discus, geos and many other types of fish. Seems funny to welcome you to the site...

    A Thomai eggs

I've sure got a lot of action going on in my 220 it seems. I've got 2 pairs of A Thomasi-one guarding eggs and the other looking like they want to lay some as well. It's a tough tank full of bigger fish, but those thomasi sure hold their own. I've also got a pair of festivums getting ready to...

Hi from upstate New York USA

Nice tank. I'm in Vermont and suffer with well water like yours. I used an RO filter when I had saltwater tanks and have kept using it since going back to fresh. Sure would be easier if I wanted to go back to Tanganyikans, but I seem to be drawn to fish that like opposite water...

    My Hongsloi superreddddd

Well, I've got them. They sure don't look like yours, but they've only been here about an hour. Hopefully, they will color up nicely as they settle in and mature. Can't really post pics since I currently only have an iPad. Hope Santa remedies that.

    Hello from Israel

Very nice! It's great that you can get altums at your LFS. Like you, I've recently acquired a few apistos and joined this forum. There are some beautiful ones, it will be hard to choose when I get more.

    Hello from Vermont

I'm a long time fish keeper, but new to apistos. There are so many beautiful types, I'm going to have a hard time choosing (and not going overboard). Right now I've just got a pair of agassizi and cacatuoides. Every time I start to consolidate and cut down on my number of tanks set up, I find...
