    Apistogramma rositae

My experience with A. rositae is that it is really not a difficult species regarding water parameters for reproduction and sex ratio.

Two new apistogrammas from Peru described

Thank you Frank! That would be fantastic to get 2-3 females from you. I will not go myself to the next WAC meeting but I'm going to try to fine someone who will go (maybe Erik as last year?). Many thanks anyway, I will keep my fingers crossed that you succeed to find some A. wolli females. By...

Two new apistogrammas from Peru described

Hello, I got 15 juveniles of Apistogramma wolli last spring, coming from Frank H and Roland Keeper in Germany and carried to me (in Lyon, France) after the WAC meeting 2016. Unfortunatly, after these fishes grew up, it appears there are only males in the group. Would somebody have an idea about...

    Christmas came early this year

I should have read more carefully the posts above. I realize it is not the cf. payaminonis Tom collected recently far south in the Rio Purus drainage. Anyway thank you very much Mike, it is not frequent to see good pictures of this taxon. It's a fantastic fish and I hope it will come out in...

Wild A. pantalone and juveniles F1

I don't know about these trematodes. The wild pair was fool of these black spots but the pair F1 which reproduces now at home is free of these.

Wild A. pantalone and juveniles F1

The mouthbreeding was indeed episodic. I have observed it just during 2 or 3 days in the tank.

Wild A. pantalone and juveniles F1

I'm finally lucky since there were finally 7 males and 6 females. A first fry from a pair of F1 I isolated And an episodic mouthbreeding. A behaviour I did not know in this species.

    A. panduro/nijsseni?

While the female is clearly A. panduro, the male is probably A. nijsseni.
  20. Imrahil

    Apistogramma rositae

A species of the nijsseni lineage that I like very much. My pair originates from a couple imported here in France in 2008. Serious hobbyists succeeded preserving the descent and it should be now something like the eighth or ninth generation ... At home, they reproduce within "classical"...
