hi everyone,
i want to know if Staecki is a very shy species. i just got one 3cm, he has always been hiding and dodge once he sees me passing by. very unlike bitaeniata once i kept. Anyone has experience with Staecki?
i want some information for rio tefe. Does anyone know the substrate of Tefe river bed. i never seen anyone keeping Ap bitaeniata tefe in a sandy bottom tank. however, i really want to know if tefe's river bed is covered with fine sand or just mud. Pictures are appreciated.
hi guys. i have heard that if use fine sand as substrate, there will be toxic gas accumulated in the sand where there is no oxygen. They claimed that the sand would smell very bad. So how do you guys deal with that and prevent that happening.
i would like to know how many hours of sleep (darkness) do we provide apisto are best for them? my tanks are in the dinning room, most of the time there is light get into the tanks. hours of complete darkness are 6-7 hours. is it not sufficient sleep?
