I will try to photograph my A.bitaeniata some time this week... :)
In the mean time, here is a picture of my A.agassizii (also from Peru but in Rio Nanay) in another tank.
Just to share the home of my trio of A.bitaeniata from Rio Ampiyacu.
Currently it is home to also 7 other plecos and 5 cories. So I doubt that it will have any breeding activity or fries in this tank...
Hope you guys like it.
blueblue, what do you mean by well-established in this case?
The particles will still float around when they are kicked up by say cories or plecos...
Thinking of adding Indian Almond leaves to my biotope tank as well... So want to know more of the possible problems...
Thanks Mike.
I would basically use the book either DATZ or AquaLog primarily as an ID tool. The sequencing of the species in DATZ by A-numbers is kinda difficult to use.
And Mike, you have a PM regarding the DATZ book.
A male in a LFS in our area.

Seems like that's some problems with hotlinking the site which contained my original picture...
So posting the link instead...
Blueblue, do you have a picture of a sunset male and female side by side?
Recently one of the LFS brought in some A. sp 'Sunset'. having a hard time sexing them... Seems like entire tank of females! :frown:
