i have recently seen a product called gel tek that you may wish to try
if you are certain that it is camallanus then this product has flubendazol in which is a different neamtodicide from the same family as levamisol
the real benefit though is that it also contains metronidazol and...
good quality clean water and you probably wont need to medicate
if the wound is not fresh so to speak and has no signs of secondary infection(fungal or bacterial) then ou are probably not likely to have issue's
fins can regenerate quite well though if bone exposed i doubt that you will...

cacatoides or borreli would probably be my first choices in higher pH waters
if keeping males i go by a rule of 2 sq ft area for a male territory
so your tank wiould only house one male territory
if just keeping males then less reason for them to squabble over tank space if no girls or...
i would suggest that 2 male territory's could be accomadated in your tank
you would want to scape so that lines of sight along the tank are not possibly for the whole length and provide multiple small cave like area's for fish to retreat to

my bloody guppy's wouldn't die in any water
i purchased 6 as some of my first fish 5-6 years ago, prehaps there life span is hsorter in soft waters, though mine have been breeding and reproducing up until just recently when they were the first to succumb to a mistaken acid overdose

I dont see any specific clnical signs in your observations
just general "i'm not feeling well" signs
Though for some reason reading the post i thought neuro issue's , which would either be toxin(i would expect more fish to show similar signs)parasitic and bacterial options for mennigitis...
is it just the action of the amino acid or does it have to be specifically turkey?
is it proven to work in fish? or just carried over from mammalian studies?

mike how far wrong am i?
looking at my books now i see that eunotus has a different dorsal fin, spines enlarged and seperated anyting else that i should be seeing?
andrew
looks more like a regani fish to me than a cactoides, so dont think it is a jurensis
my guess, from some previous posts, would be something like a eunotus 'orange tail'
i am sure i have been reading orangeflossen or orange something whilst seeing this, or a similar fish discussed
than...
i have veterinary texts with dose's for fenbendazol, levanisol and mebendazol , with only precautions of levamisol and anorexia at higher dosing
mebendazol and closantel are now available as a combined product in the USA
even luferon is written up
do they no longer produce ivermectin...
talk to the fisheries department , like i say it definetly has been written up in english scottish farmed salmon as a drug (ivermectin that is)
unless the fish have that gaba receptor problem or differing blood brain membrane then should be ok , i too thought it was particularly toxic (i guess i...
