Hi again,
this time the photos are mine, for whatever they're worth.
the first four show fish bought as A. gephyra. would you agree on that?
there's also one of A. hoignei, which is far more colorful than the ones I got from Uwe Roemer some 2 yrs ago.
those fish come from a Czech breeder...
additional questions. I tried to raise a couple of apistos on non-live food and those little devils were not too much interested in anything not moving.
is the brine shrimp egg such a tasty bite for them?
does it contamine the water as all other dry or frozen food?
cheers,
Greg
hello,
those pictures were taken on some zoo fair in Czech. would you be so kind as to give your best guess of what those fish are?
of the first 6 pictures I can be sure of no 4 (cacatuoides) and 5 (whatever is sold here as viejita).
#1,2 and 7 could be one "strain", although you never...
I made some small research and as far as I remember you can find Heteranthera zosterifolia as well as Alternanthera reinckii in rams' habitats. I think Eicchornia azurea was also mentioned, only I haven't seen it in any fishtank yet.

you can buy a ram for 1,4 PLN ~ 1/3 USD wholesale (10-20 pcs) in Poland. they come in masses from the Far East and usualy don't fare well in the tanks. they tend to live for 2-3 months or die right after introduction, no matter what...
hello everybody, I'm a newcomer here.
good to see some known faces... er... nicks/names :-)
how about the butterfly cichlid, M. ramirezi?
as for real apistos - I would vote for sp. "Breitbinden" and eremnopyge, although I only saw then on photos.
cheers,
Greg
