This guy is showing colors on his dorsal today, starting from the body, its showing layers of blue, yellow and red....and also exhibits clearly 2 lateral bands when he's flaring too :biggrin:
She now in my planted tank alone.....giving her all her favourite food, frozen, live and pellets....it'll probably take sometime before she fattens up and recover....
could she be suffering from any internal bacteria or such?

My female bitaeniata has been stressed and being chased by my male, she has not been eating and suffers from a sunken stomach now....
May I know if there is any effective remedies to cure her sunken stomach and regain her appetite?

Yes mike! there are some patterns on the tail....its about 4cm now, there's no black markings on the ventral fin too....I'm really confused with its true identity :confused:

This female exhibits 1 black spot in the center of the body, sometimes 1 or 2 lateral lines along the body, caudal fin has faint vertical markings...
Its was bought as a female of Elizabethae "Monte Cristo"...

Both are doing well, female is being chased by the male as usual....ample hiding space is provided as well...:biggrin:
