Good to hear you hatchings are returning to normal for you. It's weird because I have a light as a heat source for the eggs and I am still having bad hatch rates. Maybe with the warm weather things will turn out better for me as well. I'm going to let the eggs run a little longer than 24...
Please keep me posted as it too is getting on my nerves. I have a ton of fry and aside from bbs I don't have much else to feed them that strikes their interest. I've tried frozen bbs from the LFS with what looks like no luck, I know they don't care for decap eggs. I threw in some Repashy SnG...
Were you able to figure out your problem. I too have been having bad batches of minimal artemia. After 24hrs of hatching them I notice what looks like a lot of decapped eggs on the bottom of my hatching vessel and a tiny amount of artemia. I have tried another batch of eggs from Ted Judy with...
Lately I have been having problems with my bbs eggs not hatching. I use two tbs of non-iodized table salt, a two liter bottle with about 3/4 of it filled with warm water and about half a tsp of brine shrimp eggs. I do not use a heat source. The eggs are from Brine Shrimp Direct and were...

This is the first time I have had a multiple spawn going on at the same time in one tank. My group of 5 f1 cacatuoides seemed to show no interest in spawing for the last three months and all of a sudden all three females have eggs. This is pretty cool, kind of wondering what brood care is...
Looking to see if anyone has a lone or spare male Ap. Barlowi (red face) for sale. My male recently has gone missing and no matter where I have looked I can't find him. Let me know if you have one for sale.
So I have been using store bought RO water and soaking it for 3 days with sphagnum peat moss. When I test it the ph level is about 6.6. After a couple of days in the tanks the ph will jump back up to 7.6 and I can't seem to figure out why or what is making it jump back up. I have sand for...
It seems that I have Eisenia Fetida then as they do seem to have what looks like some banding on them. They do not look like the pictures of Lumbricus Rubellus when I Google them. When I first cut them up I did noticed a foul stench with them also. As far as health wise would Eisenia Fetida...
I did not know there was a difference. How do you tell if you don't mind me asking? I got some last night at my LFS. They were with the live crickets for reptiles.
A buddy of mine told me he was feeding some of these guys to his fish and suggested I try em for my Apistos. Anyone else use em, any tips on culturing them and what to feed them?
I am assuming you mean the fry? If so I've transfered them a couple days after they have become free swimming. Apisto fry are pretty tough little wigglers. From the looks of your video they seem big enough to transfer. I recomend a sponge filter, some java moss (really helps the fry to hide...
