The male undertook a huge sand excavating project tonight underneath one of the pieces of driftwood while the female stayed close by watching. Hoping that is a good indication they're looking for a place to spawn. I sat and watched him spitting sand out for about 20 minutes. (Until the kids...
Thanks I got it and emailed him. Will see what happens. If he doesn't have it I think I will order from Steven Simpson in the UK, seems like the best deal I've found.
You don't think the congos would be ok dithers? This is really going to end up being more of a show tank, though I wouldn't mind getting fry out of it.
Thanks for the link, I checked it out, same guy as StevenSimpsonBooks.com for basically the same price, I did the math on the site, looks like it would be close to $50.00 bucks with shipping. Still better than ordering amazon though.

I would plant heavily and lots of bogwood.

Looking for the book: The Cichlid Fishes of Western Africa, by Anton Lamboj.
Anyone know who has the best price on this? I am in Indiana, United States, 46805.
I kept 8 Cory cats with my kribs they never bothered the eggs, but they decimated my krib fry there were too many for the female to fight off, but could be because she ran the male off, so didn't have much help. Something to think about anyway.
Ted,
Ok, I did a little moving, added some extra hiding spaces and driftwood and put the extra female in my spawning tank. They haven't harrassed her too much, though the paired female really colored up pretty bright almost immediately on seeing the other female. The male just kind of lunged...
