Okay as far as getting them to pair should I start with three juveniles until they pair up. Then remove the extra. Or should they pair up with just putting two in.
Never even heard of the pearl danios. They look pretty cool. Do they school together tightly?
ill go with a pair, pencil fish are expensive here in Texas and almost all wild caught.
So I'm thinking of making a cacatuoides breeding tank. I was thinking a 15 gallon medium-highly planted. Drift wood and rock stacks and maybe some caves. My question is what kind of stock can i go with? Would a pair or a trio be better fitted for this size tank. Id also like dither fish. Maybe...
interested in an updated species list. my tank will be up and ready for a pair in hopefully about a week or two. Really wanting A. cac, color strain isnt a big deal as im going for learning to breed and keep a thriving pair before i leap to the flashier color strains.
i will be sure to let you know cause that is a beautiful specimen you got there. And believe me i know the pain of catching fish in densely planted tanks, i myself run dirted tanks with as much plants as i can get my hands on. i will keep in contact and let you know.
need a pair of cacatuoides, color variety isnt a huge concern to me. will be looking to buy within the next 3-6 weeks. If you have experiance in shipping fish then i dont mind getting them shipped to me.
I would rather give my money to a breeder then a LFS that dosent even label fish correctly.
If you plan on selling your quad fry in about a month id be more then happy to wait, it'll give me time to grow out my plants a little more. Do you have experiance in shipping fish? Id love to snag up a trio if possible but could aso settle for a pair.
I am working on my first apisto tank ever and am wanting to breed. i heard apisto cacatoydes are generaly easier to breed. My LFS do not stock apistos. Im not sure how i feel about fish being shipped to me. If you know of any breeders in the dallas area id greatly appreciate there information.
