I figured I'd post them here and not in the thread I started elsewhere to keep the images together. Yes, I know.... clean the glass before taking pics.
One of my new borellii males
Borellii females
Young viejita
Just wanted to mention that I got a few new dwarf cichlids on Saturday. Hopefully I can get some decent pics of them soon.
New fish are:
Apistogramma veijita
Apistogramma borellii (had them before, couldn't resist!)
Nannacara anomala (had before, and again, couldn't resist)
The only one that comes to mind readily is Neolamprologus christyi. A fascinating, yet aggressive, Tanganyikan cichlid. One of only two species that have actually made me bleed. The other one was also a Tang!
Do they look like this?

He got them as Haplochromis sp. flavenentis. He's noted similarities to Thoracochromis demeusii.
It's actually not that easy. They are not the easiest fish to find around here. Typically, when you do find them, they are male. I am keeping my eyes open though.
ACA was very cool of course. It was very nice to meet Mike and Ted. Ted is a good person to have at the banquet with you. Lots of talk on fish.....
I only ended up with one bag from the VERY long auction (it ended about 2 am). Was for a pair of A. trifasciata. Well.... the pair is two males...
We spawned these in a regular 20 gallon tank. We started with a small group that slowly got smaller as they got ready to spawn. They spawned readily in our local water. pH of about 7.8. The tank had several large rocks, and some plants in it.
Really sucky pic, but this is several years ago...
Ok, they are not Dehane. No cheek stripe! The caudal has a very thin dark edge to it. So, I guess that makes them Cameroonian. Would Kienke still fit then?
DHL is also NOT accepting any new customers either. Talk about making people NOT want to use them. Their loss I guess.
As for the fish. Sorry to hear they didn't make it, but I wouldn't want to chance it after the discussions I had with FedEx, and UPS, etc. I mean, they don't even take dead...
I checked around before when someone in the States wanted some of my fish. None of the carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc) would accept live fish to go into the US. Actually, they even said they wouldn't take dead fish either! It would be interesting to know how people who do send fish from Canada to the...
