Sp yasuni purportedly. As my general rule of thumb, Frank H is usually right, he’s got “the eye”.

    My first potential spawn

The dishes should be fine, but the big blender looking containers are pretty handy if you’re headed down the Apistogramma rabbit hole and will be hatching BBS twice a day for the foreseeable future.

First time fry with cacatoudes, but moving in 2 weeks. Can I save them?

Awesome. Get some water at the new place dechlorinated and warm in those 5 gallon buckets. Leave a gallon/gallon and a half of water in the tank for the fry and hit the road. Catching little fry stinks

    A. Borellii Breeding behavior or agression

How large/what size is the supposed “female”? The length of the anal fin in the second picture is really confusing.

Is there such a thing as too much baby brine shrimp?

I don’t believe in such a thing. There have been points in my hobby, where 3 or 4 generations of Apistogramma ate only BBS. If I recall correctly, there’s something from Romer on the topic that portrays BBS as the Apistogramma food supreme.

Hello and questions about my Trifasciata couple

Seems fairly normal. He wants to make more babies, she’s still thinking it over. Apistogramma can be territorial little buggers, rival males and non breeding females will be chased out of “his territory”, breeding females will be allowed to stay. More hidey holes, and breaks to the line of sight...

    Does the perfect fish exist?

Blackwater, 20 tall, cichlid… that’s a tough one, don’t think it exists. I’d probably be looking at a smaller betta species or a paro

    help needed with ivanacara spawn.

I ascribe to a similar hypothesis. For the more difficult species I am 100% trying to simulate the pH increase that would be caused by loads of rain. Bounce from 4/4.5 up to 5/5.5. Using source water with some alkalinity helps with the bounce when using an external acid source. PH adjustment...
