Is anyone aware of any apistos from Uruguay? The only one I can think of as a possibility is borelli and I think that is a stretch. I have a friend who has a wild caught apisto that he says is from that country and says it is not borelli.

One of my fish has developed ulcerating sores on her mouth. Although she is still eating she doesn't move her lips much. I started treating her with erythromycin. Any other ideas? I don't see signs of fungus.
It is sometimes difficult to get a good reading of pH with a meter such as the Hanna in soft water. I have heard that the situation can be improved by adding a little NaCl to the water. When I do this , the pH changes. Is this a legitimate way to more accurately measure the pH?
