    Splash Tetra ID

I have some of these. They were imported to my local LFS as splash tetras (apparently from a fish farm!). They're growing at some rate and looking like they'll start to spawn soon. Had some similar P. cf. brevis before, but only have one left. Incidentally, I have C. arnoldi too!

    Copella callolepis disease

I'm hoping to get some of these in the near future. I've had some issues with Copella compta in the aquarium developing what appears to be a possible thyroid tumour. They get a growth on the lower jaw and the gills then push out, sometimes causing swelling at the base of one of the pectorals...

    Breeding splash tetras....

I have two 4ft T5 fluorescent tubes and two led floodlamps (Iforget the wattage). They're set so the right hand flood comes on, followed by one tube, then the other, then the lefthand flood, then the right goes off, followed by tubes and then left.

    5 foot biotopish!

Unfortunately, I've lost all the frogs over the last year. If I did it again, I'd have a higher hood. The tank is still going and the plants grow like crazy. I'm tempted to try poison darts in there, but there's mixed opinions on pdf and water!
