    Copella nigrofasciatum.

Are these the C. callolepis, now C. nattereri that I have from you Tom? I've still not had eggs, but they're in a community and currently competing with the large male C. compta, so I think I need to separate them out into a tank of their own.

    EMERGENCY APISTO EATEN CORY

What happened with this? I had a female barlowi that did this but she worked it free in the end.

    Breeding Paracheirodon simulans

I had three. I think only two were involved in spawning though.

    Breeding Paracheirodon simulans

Below is my experience 1st time of spawning them. Not sure if the eggs are light sensitive or not, but I left the lights on their usual cycle and got 40 fry. The water was strongly stained by this point with tannins. They are currently in water of a lower pH and no signs of spawning. Over the...

    Copella callolepis disease

Cheers. I'll have to look into that as I have Pyrrhulina cf. brevis, Copella compta, Copella arnoldi, Nannostomus marginatus, N. nitidus, N. beckfordi and N. eques, as well as plenty of other fish that may eat them. My angelfish used to love live locusts.

Where would you say is the best place to get these Darrel, or is the answer going to be "from work"?

    Hyphessobrycon sp. Red-Blue Peru

I'm impressed with myself; I didn't need to use google translate for any of that. So, what new species were these in Leticia?

Mike Wise's amazing 2017-revised list of more than 400 species / forms of Apistogramma

I had A. panduro/nijsseni hybrid fry as I was sold a pair of wild A. panduro and the male turned out to ne A. nijsseni. There are posts and images on here somewhere. I never had succesful spawning between the offspring, however, there were many instances of typical pre and post spawning...

    A. sp. D50 - another larvophilous mouthbrooder from Colombia

Bugger! That's what I get for buying a pair off a scouser! Ha ha.

    A. sp. D50 - another larvophilous mouthbrooder from Colombia

Hmm, interesting. Thanks. Ray's answer to "Do D10 have red eyes?" was "They have black eyes - they are only red if you poke them in the eye!" I'll have a chat with him at the next club meeting. So, am I right in saying that if a female shows any blue on the cheeks or any slight patterning in the...

Ok, so, here goes! My D10 have not got red eyes. Ray says they don't have red eyes. Tom says they do. Frank, what are yours like?

    Valid apisto species list

Ha ha, cool. Congratulations. I looked for a description but couldn't find it so I think I was mistaken anyway. I used to get alerts for Echinococcus, but, alas, no subscriptions these days.

    Valid apisto species list

Interesting read. I thought A. abacaxis/wilhelmi had been described. I could very much be wrong though.

    A. sp. D50 - another larvophilous mouthbrooder from Colombia

The mouth is not a patch on barlowi.
