Mikrogeophagus Ramirezi genetics and color

Does anyone have either experience or accurate information about how the genes interact to make the different color forms?

So, we have a wild phenotype, a gold phenotype, and electric blue phenotype, and a gold with electric blue phenotype which looks much like the gold, but is not quite the same.

1) Do Electric Blue and Gold alleles share the same locus?

2) What's dominant, recessive?

No offence...but who cares?? Tania are not Bettas
I think RK has made it clear that HE cares. I suspect there are enough fancy-ram breeders around that someone could make educated guesses without a formal genetic study, just based on the outcomes of various color-strain crossings, if data from many breeders could be compiled.

1) Mostly not, since each types can breed true, even the gold electric blue ram breeds true as well.

2) Electric blue is incomplete dominant, gold is recessive.

Thank you very much for replying. How did you come by this information? Would it be right to say that the genotype for the Gold Ram with EB gene would be: g/g, Eb/+ ?

Also, Eb/Eb would be the Electric Blue Ram, right? So if the Eb is an incomplete dominant gene, what would Eb/+ look like?
