Nannacara - misidentified?

Bought a bag of small fry labeled Nannacara aureocephalus back in October, dropped them in a tank and, other than feeding them, forgot they were there. Last week I noticed one of the males had colored up nicely - except he's not an aureocephalus, is he? Last time I bred N. anomala was in the 1970s, but I'm pretty sure I know what they look like. Just looking for verification before I contact the seller.

I'm guessing he will say, "That's what I bought it as!", but the question is, what will he do after being told the correct ID?

Yes, N. anomala (as recognized in the hobby). N. aureocephalus has flank scales that are light in the center and dark on the edge. N. anomala has dark centers with light edges.

Thanks , Mike, that was my understanding, as well. Well, I haven't had anomala in a long time, and I didn't pay that much (prices were very low at that auction). I remember when "Mixed Apistos" used to be 90% N. anomala, now they are a bit harder to find.
