Dwarf Cichlid Preorder List

I'll be placing an order this week from an incredible list of dwarf cichlids (heavy on Apistogramma). Some of the prices are a bit out there and some are right in line. Don't shoot the messenger-I don't make up the prices the breeder is charging! If the price is too high for the fish you want just don't order any of them. I look at this this as a great way to get in some outstanding quality fish to set up breeding stock. Orders are needed by Thursday night and the fish should be in in 1-2 weeks.

I have to order a minimum of 10pr of a given line item (that is 10 pair of one species at one size) so you need to order at least 2 pair of any line item. I may also ask you for a partial down payment if you haven't ordered from me before or on the higher price tag fish as I have to pay up front in full before I receive the fish.

Prices listed below are for one pair (male and female). The prices listed here are good for any preorders placed by Thursday night and may change for orders placed after the stock arrives.

For what it's worth google searches pull up an eunotus type fish. But I haven't seen them in person or from this source.

Yes, in order for me to bring a given fish in I need at least 2 pair ordered. But if you don't mind picking from whatever I end up bringing in you can order a single pair of something.

Sounds good! Just don't expect a ton of choices. I'll most likely only be bringing in 3 or 4 types.

Thanks for the link, animalmgc. Funny, I'm a member of the German dwarf cichlid forum and must have seen that post when it was written. Seeing that the fish was a population of A. cf. eunotus, I must have forgotten all about it. Nice looking fish, 'though.

This was a hurry up and get an order in that has now turned into a "Well, MAYBE I'll order in a month" story again. Time to find a new way to bring the fish in. Sorry! I'm NOT a happy camper as this is the second time an order has turned out exactly like this. I won't make the same mistake again.

Jeff, if only you could afford the quantities/cost required to be your own importer. $100 for the license and ~$200/inspection - and $1,000/order at least once each month. That last one is a real killer!

Is not easy trying to make a living selling fish for sure. Lucky for me, this is just a hobby.

But getting access to some sources is the bigger problem.

Those prices are definitely abit high. Is like selling vinegar eel culture for $12 in the US, just not going to happen. You definitely need to get better sources. I know of a few but you will most likely need to buy a minimum 10 boxes. The upside is there is no such BS as hurry up and get your order in now. They need a week in advance to prepare the shipment. Still they usually would not ship exactly what you order. You would also get shorted on some and extra on others. Their goal is to fill up your boxes. Depend on your negotiation skill, they may throw in free fish to compensate for the shipping cost.
