Was sold this as an Apisto Panduro male ..... however on googling they seem to have more colour in the body than this guy .... he is only 2 days in the tank, so whether environment colours will come??
Hi all,
Same for me, but I've had a look at the image code, and hopefully this should work.
I'm not sure about the fish, it definitely doesn't look very happy, but I'm not entirely sure why I think that.
It also seems to have black leading edges to the ventral fins, which makes me think female (with the usuall proviso that I am hopeless at both sexing and ID).
I concur with Darrel. Unwell looking due to lack of forehead fat I think. the ventral black fins usually work for me to sex females. Saying that this one seems to lack black on body and has a certain male appearance. Perhaps one of the experts will answer.
In my opinion the body shape is too large and long to be a female, but the frame of reference is hard to distinguish in the photo. A few more photos, preferably with the dorsal spread, would be ideal. It looks malnourished to me as well, which is why it has no color.
