So my apistogramma baenschii eggs hatched 15 days ago. As a test of my first spawn and the parents first spawn, I moved 8 fry to fry tray at free swimming stage. I left 5 fry with the parents in a 10G (moved these to tray today).
Both sets were fed identical meals. 1/4 sera micron, 3/4 live...

As for my shared sump, there wasn’t a clean way to do an auto water change system without running piping across my floor or around a door frame. I chose the shared sump to lessen the water change burden. Hopefully I won’t regret it as I have with other...
Here’s a picture of my breeding rack setup. All but the fry tank (mid left) are on a shared sump. I can pull any tank off the sump system and run sponge filters.

One thing i forgot to mention is 3 weeks ago I did see what appeared to be a cotton ball (size of ADA aquasoil granule) on the top of his head.
Also, I did treat an electric blue ram in an isolated quarantine tank for popeye...

Moved C (dominant) to a 10G to treat sunken belly and suspected fin rot. Now A and B are merrily following each other around. Amazed at how quickly behavior changed removing one fish.
A real shame as I wanted to spawn C with the best colors and taller dorsal flecks .
