    Apistogramma sp. Winkelfleck

have not checked his site, and would definitely love to invest in some dwarf cichlid books. Thanks for all the help, I will continue my search, with more refined criteria, and hope to find a retailer with one of those books in stock.

    Apistogramma sp. Winkelfleck

wow, as far as I have found, they still aren't scientifically identified, so I am unable to find preferred water parameters etc. They are very active, bold fish, who eat from my hand and travel the entire water column and all around the tank. This makes me assume they prefer clear water...

    Apisto sp. Winkelfleck Dithers?

hello all, I have recently acquired some sp. Winkelfleck, and have not been able to find much info on them, other than they have yet to be scientifically identified. I have them in 6.5 pH and around 3-4 deg kh and gh. All else zero except trace nitrates for live plants. Currently I have 5...

where to get a lot of driftwood for a good price?

Even if the nearest waters edge is an hour away, you will not regret going wood hunting. Just fill the bed of a truck and drive home. I found an entire tree washed up, so I stole its stump and roots. Pictures attached. Good look!

    A. Cacatuoides tankmates

You've been extremely helpful Darrel. Just one final question on this topic. Will the physella acuta (which I researched and agree that is what they are) harm live plants? Or be helpful with removal of algae? They currently exist in my tank and im curious if I will need to remove them before...

    A. Cacatuoides tankmates

Thank you for the reply Darrel, I'm very glad to see such an educated person answering my questions. My concerns then are as follows: 1. With one male will i have multiple females with fry simultaneously, and will he parade around the tank enough for me and my family to see him? I just love...

    A. Cacatuoides tankmates

hello all, I am planning a planted 40g high setup and want to focus on Cacatuoides and live plants. I am curious what tankmates would go well with Cacatuoides. I want at least 2 females with eggs/fry at all times if possible. I was thinking maybe 2 males and 3-4 females, and MAYBE some blue...

    Spray foam backgrounds

I am really interested in trying to build my own diy spray foam background. I am wondering if anyone here has done this, and what tips they could give me. So far i plan to have pvc tubes for my hob filter intake tube, and heater, of course there will be inlets for the water to circulate to both...

Do apisto eggs stick to pvc?

Awesome. Thank you very much for the reply. I have since found smaller clay pots at the local craft store. Thinking about using those as caves in the background. Maybe also as planters in the foam background.
