Hey,
I live in Vancouver BC. OVer the years I have got fish from a variety of sources, a few stores, below water etc...
I wonder if there are any hobbyists who are in CAnada or ship to Canada easily.
If so, stocklist pls?
thanks
unfortunately your chance of finding worthwhile apistos in vancouver LFS is nil. However, there are a few people importing other wild caught fish who are able to get apistos!
www.bcaquaria.com and look for Charles
DH247- They all look like females for quite some time when they become sexually dimorphic. Trust me. I have had them a few times from big als, when they all look the same... after 6monthes of heavy feeding and cleaning they are mostly MALES in the end.
Daryl- there are NO reputable shops in...
Hey all,
I haven't had much of a chance for dwarf cichlids these days, and even my fishroom of 50 tanks is now my new office, renovated, and I am down to 3 tanks.
However, I just found a store that has a bunch of D. filamentosus.
I want to create an actual simulation biotope of their...
I had a colony of A.agassizii that looked just like this for many years purchased from below water maybe 5 years ago.
I believe it was either sold as Alenquer or yellow? i cant remember

Mike Wise has also recently stated that A. agassizii is highly variable for its colour, within...
I think this is my favorite apisto... I imported a bag on my peru shipment, they were gorgeous... I didnt keep any for myself unfornately... I want them again!

Do female Bits have a dot on their lateral line???
Could the be a female bitaeniata if they do not have that???
I have both Apistogramma bitaeniata curutu and Apistogramma agassizii alenquer... I had a female I was sure was a bit but now she looks WAY more like the aggie females...
I had some Nothobranchius geuntheri fry with some Apistogramma agassizii "wild yellow" fry. The Nothos were smaller than the aggies and outgrew them and ate all the babies. Now the nothos (1 month later) are full size and I dont know if I have any aggies... there are large leaves in there they...
I have some that look like that... and breed like rabbits... I am pulling eggs every couple weeks and am onto breeding F2 and F3 generations...
I don't really know how to ship fish though...
Perhaps classified was the wrong word choice...
There are lots of posts in the apisto forum for... where can I find A. borelli or this or that?
why couldnt they all go into one forum and not clutter that one?
