    German Blue ram tankmates?

Cathy, I can agree that rams come from warmer waters (in nature), but I don't think that blue rams need to be kept in 86F (30C). Besides borelli can tolerate relatively wider range of the temperature then other apistogramma as they are widespread in South America... I think that 77-79F for both...

    German Blue ram tankmates?

Hi! You can house rams with apisto, but rather with quiet spacies - A. borelli or A. trifasciata will suit fine.

Intro of 2 Apisto's with Keyholes and Bolivian Rams, would it work?

Hi Andrew, I don't know the area of the bottom (110x50[x40], 150x40[x35] ?), but I think that you can add a pair or 1+2 of A. borelli without any danger. They would rather occupy the bottom parts of the tank while Cleithracara Maronii or Mikrogeophagus Altispinosus are as well middle-tank...

Which of the following apistos would you keep together?

slipstreamv2, you can keep almost any pair of apistogramma in 10g tank, but it's risky and requires some experience. You should pay attension to pair relations (especially beyond the period of spawning) and water parameters as it's always harder to keep them stable in smaller tanks. I would...

Which of the following apistos would you keep together?

Hi, I think you're planning to place too many species in your tanks and IMHO the setups are not proper. You could try of course with these setups as you have empty tanks to move fishes if necessary, but I do not give a big chance to such configurations. First 20 gallon tanks - A. cacatuoides...

    Stocking Question

Generally it's not a good idea to combine A. cacatuoides and M. ramirezi in one tank, especially when it's 30 gallon one. Rams are rather calm and cacs dominate them. I had both spacies together in 53 gallon tank - althought there were many hideouts I removed rams very quickly:wink: You could...

    C. Regani "Rio Tapajos"

It looks very similar to WF male A. sp. 'Pebas' which I had (unfortunately, he had a clash with dominant dicrossus filamentosus which resulted his death). Concerning C. Regani "Rio Tapajos" - stunning fishes!

    Laetacara fulvipinnis

Thanks for this information sixfoottank! I know (from my friend) that Mark haven't got Laetacara fulvipinnis for selling at the moment, but I try to come into Peter Lovett. Lucky you! Stephan, I send you a private message with some questions connected with Laetacara fulvipinnis.

    Laetacara fulvipinnis

sixfoottank, could you tell me please where did you bay your fulvipinnis? Or perhaps you know where they can be purchase right now? In the matter of your question I agree with Mike. I had the similar problem with my A. macmasteri - similar because it concerning not a pair formation, but...

    Question about Apistogramma and tetras..

Hi Vic. Tetras size is not practically important as apisto females are generally small and this not make them unable to protect fry. My Taeniacara candidi female effectively protect fry from 6 cm Apistogramma macmasteri male :) Anyway, Hemigrammus bleheri will always be smaller or larger danger...

    ID please.. caetei complex?

Well, I'm not able to check up the source:frown: ... Mike, I've pasted another photos in my first post. It was feeding time and it's visible on male photo, but I hope you could make some new observation. Thanks in advance!:)

    ID please.. caetei complex?

I try to make better photos when these specimens grow up a little and become shy less. So did mine... but I thought that A. sp. Pebas is from Peru.

    ID please.. caetei complex?

Hi all, I hope you might be able to identify these fishes. I got them from Brazil - they were shiped as A. cruzi, but they're not A. cruzi of course. I haven't got any more specific information about them... Forgive for poor photos quality, but fishes are still shy. Even though, I hope your...

    Apistogramma cacatuoides

Try to catch them while they're sleeping. Wait about 30 minutes after switching lighting off and there should be no problem with removing them. I used this method many times - it takes me only 10-15 minutes to catch all of my Nannostomus marginatus from my 200 litres tank.

    Apistogramma cacatuoides

Hi Hakan, Your tank is IMHO a little overstocked. 30 Paracheirodon axelrodi - they are surely mainly responsible for fry's disappering. Corys are rather a serious danger for eggs, but they can also eat fry if it stays on the bottom of the tank. Be patient:wink: Some tips you can implement...
