    Gold tetra conundrum

There's also quite a distinct white line extending into the caudal fin which is not present in anduzei.

    Gold tetra conundrum

I will have a look again tomorrow. If it's anduzei I will be able to tell by the dorsal fin as it's quite distinctive compared to others in the genus. I think it's a bit big to be anduzei though and looks the wrong shape, but won't be able to tell until I have a look tomorrow. I've kept anduzei...

    Gold tetra conundrum

I'm not sure. I feel like it's too stocky and resembles one of the marginatus types. I probably need to go and buy it. May have a look for a suitable tank now.

    Gold tetra conundrum

I have also seen a P. simulans in the same shop with the gold colouring. There may have actually been a few in the group, but don't remember properly. Here's a vid of the pencil.

Just to add to this thred, I have just seen what appears to be a Nannostomus marginatus with the gold colouration.

    Copella (?) id?

I have now just found some infertile eggs on a leaf. Interestingly it's the smaller of the males that has defended the territory and managed to spawn. There's currently a lot of jostling between two males for the attention of a big female.

    Copella Nattereri

Marinho's C. nattereri is the one with 4 - 5 rows of red dots along the whole body. According to Zarske, this would be either C. callolepis or C. meinkeni. After a quick look on tgeir website it is indeed C. nattereri sensu Marinho.

    Copella (?) id?

It could be one of my threads. I have one on here from when I bred them. Tom gave me the technique with the floating plant pot trays with notches cut in.

    Copella (?) id?

Yes, mine have spawned on Catappa and oak leaves that have been in the process of sinking. They almost always used to be spawning very close to the surface, however, they seem to stay lower down in this tank which is why I have tried this new contraption.
