I live in a small town, tucked away in a valley at the foot of the Beartooth Mountain Range in SW Montana. Approximately 30 miles north of Yellowstone National Park. I raised apistogramma over 20 years ago and wish to begin again raising these wonderful little fish.
I am surrounded by wildlife, taking a drive of no more than 15 miles in any direction I can view Elk, Mule & Whitetail Deer, Antelope, Wild horses, Black Bear & grizzly Bear as well as many varieties of Eagles & Hawks. I am lucky enough to walk from my house and fish for Brook trout, Rainbow & Brown trout. If adventurous enough I can hike a few miles up in to the mountains and fish for Artic grayling. Here are a few photo's of my neighborhood. The Whitetail Buck showed up at my front door on the last morning of hunting season last year. I live right in the downtown district.

I joined this forum in order to learn from others on how best to obtain and raise apistogramma. I have two tanks which I am in the process of setting up. One 20 gallon & one 50 gallon. My plan is to plant the 50 gallon and raise adults in and transfer any fry to the 20 gallon for rearing.
I don't imagine I will be able to offer advice but, rather read many postings and ask questions until I get my feet wet once again.
Thanks for inviting me to join !
