    Banded Bushfish

Microctenopma fasciolatum, the Banded Bushfish, goes well with Pelvicachromis... From what I've read. Going to find out for sure starting tomorrow when my Pelvies get here. Look up Banded Bushfish. They've an interesting shape and the male turns blue when he's happy it's feeding time...

    Wild Congochromis dimidiatus?

What stunning fish. I just love them.

    Pelvicachromis subocellatus

Hey, Jim!!! I have cabbaged on to FIVE (5!!!) P. subocellatus from Ted Judy! They will be here tomorrow! I am about to die I'm so excited. I just want to tell everybody!

    My kribs

Those, of the two Subocellatus, are my favorite. All my Moliwes died. Some kind of fungus. I think I got them too early for my level of expertise. Think they were still in the stage where their water needed to be changed daily and I didn't realize that. THEN, like a big dufus-bobo head I...

    Suitable tank for P.taeniatus biotope?

Oh! And labyrinth fish? They usually come from shallower waters and do better in NON-tall tanks because in them they have to go farther to the top to get air, make nests, yada, yada, yada. The longs are much better for them.

    Suitable tank for P.taeniatus biotope?

Yeah. Like some of the, what are often called, 'beasts' (huge big fish that have no right being confined in a hobbyists' tank, no matter what the size tank) need like longer length. Take a 20g tank. You can have a 20g tall or a 20g long. Talls are pretty but fish don't swim vertically, they...

    Nanochromis splendens WC

Roger-Dodger, gerald. Damn! That was quick shipping. Gerald, you have to frequently take pics and put them here so we can see them.

Of Possible Interest to West African Aquatic Fauna Fans

    O. M. G. The fish in the photos don't look real they're so gorgeous. I can't believe it. I love my Puggies and cats to death but they don't give me the beauty [my] fish do. There are too many fish and not enough outlets.

    P. Taeniatus 'Moliwe'

Ooooooo! So fun wondering and trying to figure it out. I wonder if all that had anything to do with the spawning. Well, STUPID! OF COURSE IT DID! Stupid question. Wonder what had the major impact? Temp or air pressure? Weren't you afraid some bird was come down and have one of your...

    Pelvicachromis subocellatus

JIm, look under the thread "P. taenaitus Moliwe.' That guy just recently had fry and maybe he'd ship you some.

    P. Taeniatus 'Moliwe'

Lucky dog! Congratulations! Was the water outside a bit cooler? Have you had any storms come through since they've been outside? Just trying to figure out if the 'cooler-water-drop-in-atomospheric-pressure' deal is going on.

    Nanochromis splendens WC

Wow, gerald! Did you ever get lucky! Ekona, I wanted to tell you what stunning fish you got - guess I should tell gerald now! Congrats, gerald! I saw them and was even thinking of getting some, but I won't. I think they'd be too hard for me to care for, at least at this point.

    My kribs

Those were really pretty Pelvies you had! Just loved their build - well formed. Am anxious to see your new ones. I have 5 teeny-tiny Moliwes that I got three weeks ago tomorrow. Will be some time before they breed. But I like watching them grow. I'm happy for you and your wife you're...
