I got my first ones from Bob at Endlersr.us and I didn't pay a fortune for them. They ship really well. You can ship them priority for under 10.00 I believe.. If I had an abundance I woudn't mind selling you some... but I just transfered mine to my fish room and they haven't start...
I still keep Endlers..lol Mike is correct.... there really is no difference... except for some of the behavioral traits... and of course the way they look... They are much smaller so you can keep them in a variety of containers...
I like them.. can you tell..lol

Sounds like a great idea.
It would help everyone find fish ... It is very hard to find good apisto's.. And I have seen great fish pictures on this fourm.. and read about the fry you all are getting... so I am sure it would help in thining out your stock.
Great Idea!! :)
I am planning on putting 3 pairs of "Triple red" SA Cichlids in a 50 gallon. The fish are still small... 1 inch up to 2 inches... the females being the smallest.
The tanks is parcially planted now with a few swords etc... but I had the dojo loaches in there so nothing lasted long. I know...
A few questions for all you experienced hobbyist...
I have several different dwarf cichlids in a 90 gallon. It is a very well planted tank. I only see one or two of the small little guys...is that normal? I see rams and Opals daily but the other do not come out. They were very small when I...
Does anyone know if a dwarf albino bristelnose pleco can be housed with the SA Dwarf Cichlids? Are they okay in soft water? I wasn't sure and can't locate any information on the internet.
Thanks, Lisa

I ended up purchasing one on ebay... I did not want to spend a lot and I can use this for the house too. Have had no problems with it and is easy to install and operate. I did purchase a faucet to go with it...
Endlers originally come from a hard water pond in Venezuela. They will live in soft water and you might even see a fry or two but soft water is not a good choice if your breeding.
I had endlers in a 90 gallon took as many as I could out...started softening the water for the Apisto's and...
Thanks Cootworm & Farm41!
You say you do a 50% water change a week. I that what need to do? I have in the past done a 25% and had no problems. But I have never kept dwarf cichlids.
Any problems that you know of with Dwarf Cichlids and rainbow fish? how about a dwarf bristel nose...
I have heard using peat to lower ph is very hard to keep stable is that true? I wouldn't have a clue what to do if my ph crashed, that is why I am asking.
Also a guy at small pet store said he kept discus and used a ballon by his filter to lower ph. Anyone ever heard of this?? I will have...
Hi everyone,
As this tank was a Endlers livebearer tank it was set up with to be a huge planted tank.
1.5 top soil, 1.5 pea gravel, 40-45% planted. Two pieces of drift wood and a few rocks that I have been dragging from tank to tank for years.
I have ordered a RO/DI machine and a...
I did the large water change last night...took readings this moring:
TH 180
ALK 180
PH 8
NO2 0
NO3 0
Now I am going to add peat. Any suggestions on how much peat to add? I was just going to sink it in a stocking kind of netting unless I find a better solution.
