so she hid them for a month, no i dont think thats possible, or she failed and tried again, but either or i have free swimmers!! yeeahh, oh success feels real good. anyone near fife in scotland wants them give me a shout, mum and dad are great looking specimens.
well i think she got there. she moved them onto the little sack of peat but there are a few wriggling but not many maybe 5. I feel so good for her shes been trying for over a year, tirelessy once a fortnight then getting chased all because i couldnt seem to get the EC low enough. to see one...
I finally got my EC down to 16 in my ivanacara tank and this brood of eggs looks like it is doing ok. The eggs are about 50/50 white to orange after 3 days whilst before they would all have fungused overnight. My question is do i remove the white eggs as the female is just leaving them. I dont...

yeah its black peat and im adding a bricket so likely its far too much. but I just dont understand how you can tint the water brown and have conductivity at 20 which is recommended. its like magic. I have a jar of alder cone water which is black, but the EC is 1200 and so i darent add it to my...
So ~Ive been trying to get the water quality right and I am having trouble. I guess I could just strip my tank, but it kind of annoys me that it doesnt work. The water goes in pure 0 EC and overnight jumps to 80. ~I even tried to do a 100% change, soaking up residue water with a towel but still...
i have ivanacara pair and they are laying eggs which are not hatching at 50ppm tds rainwater. I have a RO filter the cheap one and i was wondering how safe it is to slowly replace the tank water to pure RO and maybe some peat as well. will this kill the bacteria in my filter?
