No I didn’t qt him myself as I don’t have room at my current apartment to put another tank. I know my lfs qts for a week before and does a dewormer but who knows, I’ll check out that thread. Thanks for the help new to this kind of stuff

I’d have to ask the fish store if wild caught but being a “steel blue” I doubt it was wild caught but it went through the stores QT but I could probably do some dewormer. I feed twice a day I could potentially be over feeding. I feed baby brine and frozen blood worms
The pics I could get but is this a parasite or constipation? Pretty new to aquarium keeping in general haven’t had to deal with this yet… also how would I fix whatever is happening?
This is a solo of the “female” she does have the female traits for steel blues, she has black stripes on pelvic fins, rounded back fins, and less blue on the face so I’m pretty sure she’s a female but who knows
Picked up these 2 yesterday and were sold to me as A.borellii which I doubt they are but also I thought I grabbed a male/female, first time ever owning apistos wanted to come here and make sure I got a pair and to find out what species they actually are since they aren’t borellii
I do own a heater, just during the summer its too much as its already so hot but good to know to keep it constant, obviously ill have to see, maybe the temp range wont change too much during the winter but that is still 6 months out so cooling is my main concern :)
it's hard to say haven't had a winter yet I got this tank set up in march but in AZ the winter temps are 50's-60's and like 68-70 in my apartment and will not be heating the tank

Very new to apisotgramma and am picking a pair up in about a week. I currently have a 20gal with 8 cardinal tetras, 5 panda corys and some amano shrimp. The tank stays around 76-82 degrees unheated just hot here in Arizona. Will the borellii fair well with these hotter temps? I know they aren't...
