I have had the blessings of being introduced to tropical fish keeping by my mother at age 5 and have kept multiple tanks going ever since - over 40 years!
My passion has always been focused upon Central and South American cichlids, although at times I have delved into keeping arowana, African cichlids and salt water reef communities. My Apisto tanks currently house A. macmasteri, A. iniridae, A. winkelfleck, A. agassizi Tefe Pearl, A. hongsloi Rostrich, and my avatar species (purchased from ApistoDave). I am also currently working with Uaru fernandezyepezi, Hypselecara Temporalis, Microgeophagus Altispinosa, Pleco 066 and Puntius denisonii.
I'm always eager to learn new tips and help newer aquarists conquer their challenges. I have installed an RO system and easily maintain desired low pH levels that benefit wild caught, soft water specimens.
