    Apistogramma size questions

My A. sp. "Ladislao" male is 7cm SL and 9cm TL, they are really beefy though which is why i would say they are the biggest of the 3 you listed, A. baenschi would come second place. In contrast to the A. atahualpa the A. sp. "Ladislao" are not very agressive, they are more of a gentle giant.

Can you give me your opinion on this apistogramma

I dont like them, the picture is photoshopped, like @Apistoguy52 already said. I would always pick a wild specimen over one of these man made strains.

Is this just a made up name

Apistogramma lineata is probably what they meant with Apistogramma lineatus.

    Ram sexing?

Thanks for the info, i thought that it is just a rumor / miss sexing, it probably is most of the time but sometimes they change, hopefully this topic will be more researched, it would really interest me what triggers this.

    Ram sexing?

No they dont, atleast not after the first 6 sex determining weeks, i cant think of any freshwater fish that changes sexes, sorry to say it but people that say "my fish just changed sexes" just miss sexed their fish. And i hope their isn't such a law, if their is, poor Clownfish. I had a male...

    Apistogramma identification guide?

Chichlid atlas 2 by Dr. Uwe Römer has an identification key, the book is from 2005 so not all species known by now are featured.

    Hello from Jacksonville FL

Because of the slight orange coloration on the caudal fin my guess is Apistogramma cf. eunotous (orangetail / orangeschwanz) but at this size it is purely guessing. Edit: My ID skills are very trashy too, so dont really listen to me when it comes to that .

Got a new Apistogramma Hongsloi pair. Best food?

I feed my Apistos mainly these foods: Live daphnia Live blackworms Live white mosquito larvae, black ones in the summer too Live baby brine shrimp and rarely if i feel like buying it the adult brine shrimp and sometimes...
