Does anyone know what is going on with my Apistos? I can’t find anything on google...

I hate to say it but it is likely Camallanus. It might be too late as worms are sticking out from anus. When it happened to me I tried Levamisole but did not work.Losing fish was bad but a contaminated tank was far worse. For levamisole ...

    Apistogramma Baenschi questions

I lost the female. I don't know how she managed but she jumped out of the tank. It is a fully closed tank, there are a couple of small rectangular holes on the corners at the back for cable and air tubings, they are about a thumb size, still she managed to find her way out. It is sad.

    Apistogramma Baenschi questions

I tried to feed her but it is hard to see in the tank. I try to spray where possibly it is but dont know how efficient it is. Do you think taking the male to another tank for sometime and reintroduce will make any difference? I assume as no male to chase her away she will be more visible and I...

    Apistogramma Baenschi questions

HI Darel. It will be a bit difficult to find new females. I hope they will settle in the end. I love moss but I dont know why I never managed to grow them in my tanks. Do you think the moss you sent me last time will survive low light low TDS tank? If so, how should I use it? I think I fed my...

Europe Looking for Apistogramma Baenschi or Panduro from local breeders

My concern is that if fish come from large farms, they will more likely carry parasites. @dw1305 stated that it is very common thing for SE fish farms and E. Europan sources and I think a breeder tank will have only a pair and some dither fish, that will possibly eliminate possibility of...

    Recommendations for sand?

Play sand is a pain to clean. Pools filter sand was too expensive for me to order online due to weight and I could not find it locally. So I used play sand, it is safe, it has to be safe enough for children; in the end some kid eat it. For compacting Malaysian Trumpet snails are good as they...
