Sand, wood, leaves, KH 0-3, pH 6,5, temp. 23°C (not constantly), drift plants, peated water is how I keep all of them. Bit like said above, except temp maybe hehe
Breeding conditions variable sp. to sp.
Healthy fish is and a healthy tank (stable) are goo starters.
I've been keeping a group of 6 (started 10) for a year now and kept a group of 12 (started 15) before.
I find them more aggressive then the N. marginatus I had before, but less then my Copella. I find them as active as my H. margitae, a bit territorial that is.
I didn't breed them (bred N...

The owner, biologist and years working there didn't know the specimens. He'd kept 2.3 to start breeding them. Their habitat was under severe pressure.

The "big" tank is a rio Yavari setup: 1:1 Laetacara thayeri, 1:1 Apistogramma atahualpa (F1), 15 Corydoras panda, 10 Otocinclus sp., 20 Hyphessobrycon hebertaxelrodi. The Cory's and Oto's will stay, the H. hebertaxelrodi will most likely be changed in Copella nattereri.
