    What am I doing wrong?

Sand, wood, leaves, KH 0-3, pH 6,5, temp. 23°C (not constantly), drift plants, peated water is how I keep all of them. Bit like said above, except temp maybe hehe Breeding conditions variable sp. to sp. Healthy fish is and a healthy tank (stable) are goo starters.

    Nannostomus mortenthaleri

I've been keeping a group of 6 (started 10) for a year now and kept a group of 12 (started 15) before. I find them more aggressive then the N. marginatus I had before, but less then my Copella. I find them as active as my H. margitae, a bit territorial that is. I didn't breed them (bred N...

    Hyphessobrycon sp. Red-Blue Peru

Well, that's the issue... The owner, biologist and years working there didn't know the specimens. He'd kept 2.3 to start breeding them. Their habitat was under severe pressure. I'm still in touch with him, so I'll ask for an update.

    Hyphessobrycon sp. Red-Blue Peru

Entonces hablamos español (Hope that's ok. My Spanish isn't perfect, far from. I'm Dutch speaking) necesito que practica más por mis futuros viajes. Si hay gente que tienen la misma idea, pm Este verano he visto una nueva especie de Apistogramma a un station de exportación a Iquitos. Fue muy muy...

    Morris's Blackwater Biotope

I personally prefered your more natural scapes. Do you still have the A. cacatuoides? Because I think I see some schrimps in the back and apisto's & schrimps don't match that good ;)

    Copella nattereri (?)

Hi you all About a month ago, I was able to buy 7 Copella, species nattereri according to the shopowner. The colours they had in the shop were greyisch, so I couldn't really ID the fish. I managed to get some pictures, some in normal colours, other when "making out" on a leaf. Their "love...

    My Dwarf Cichlid's Aquarium

Nice setup! What are your tanksizes? How's your experience with the Ivanacara? Why did you pick 2 species of cory's and characins?

    Panduro male or female?

The females should grow a bit bigger (up to 6 cm), the males up to 8 cm. If they are young, all apisto's are very difficult to sexe... The black spot on the belly is typical female. Males also have a blue-isch shine in their fins.

    Hi from Belgium

Small changes here... The "big" tank is a rio Yavari setup: 1:1 Laetacara thayeri, 1:1 Apistogramma atahualpa (F1), 15 Corydoras panda, 10 Otocinclus sp., 20 Hyphessobrycon hebertaxelrodi. The Cory's and Oto's will stay, the H. hebertaxelrodi will most likely be changed in Copella nattereri. The...
